Hi, my name is Maraina and welcome to my Chronicle. This is a personal and honest account of my journey to compete in my very first body building competition on October 7, 2006. On May 1, 2006 I will begin 23 demanding weeks of weight, diet and pose training. I anticipate the encounter will be physically, mentally and emotionally exhausting. My quest? ... to completely transform my body, soul and mind. I am reminded daily by my favourite quote from Muhammad Ali ... "The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses - behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights". In October, I'll be "under those lights!"
