About Me

- Location: Coolum, Queensland, Australia
Hi, my name is Maraina and welcome to my Chronicle. This is a personal and honest account of my journey to compete in my very first body building competition on October 7, 2006. On May 1, 2006 I will begin 23 demanding weeks of weight, diet and pose training. I anticipate the encounter will be physically, mentally and emotionally exhausting. My quest? ... to completely transform my body, soul and mind. I am reminded daily by my favourite quote from Muhammad Ali ... "The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses - behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights". In October, I'll be "under those lights!" I hope you'll enjoy reading this. Here is my story ...

Which tan did you end up using?

Hi Deb,
Thanks for the compliments. I had Dream Tan and used silver glitter (el-cheapo can from the $2 shop). Unfortunately my glitter was applied in a rush (I was flushed) and the glitter made my dream tan streak!! I walked out looking like wet paint! LOL.
I bow my head to you and every other competitor who continues to compete. You're all phenomenal.

Your tan looked great, that's why I asked lol.
I had on Shimmer that day and it was applied just before getting on stage, it was blotchy.
I think I will use dream tan at the next comp.
Thanks for the compliments, I just think im insane for jumping straight into another comp so soon lol.
